Do you know how to store your coffee at home?
Nov 11, 2021
If you store your coffee properly, you preserve the quality and the efforts of more than 7,000 small producers.
To store coffee after opening, it's best to store it in a dry place at room temperature of no more than 25°C and no less than 15°C, with the bag tightly sealed. If your coffee bag doesn't seal tightly, we suggest using a clip or clip to seal it tightly. This way, you'll prevent the coffee's properties from diminishing or disappearing, so that when you drink it, it still has the same freshness and elegance as when you first bought it.
The ideal place to store your coffee is in the cupboard with the bag sealed or clipped shut; or, a much safer way is to store it in airtight, preferably dark, containers. Avoid the refrigerator altogether, as air and humidity accelerate the loss of freshness.
You should also keep in mind that ground coffee loses its freshness more quickly than whole bean coffee, so it's best to grind it just before brewing it. Despite taking the necessary measures to preserve coffee, it should be consumed as quickly as possible. Remember that coffee has a life cycle, and despite its longevity, it will eventually become unusable.
Organic coffee is chemical-free, so it tends to decompose quickly. It's also recommended to buy small packages or a portion based on your expected consumption over the next two to three weeks.
