How to make better coffee?
Nov 26, 2021
The most important thing to prepare a good coffee is quality , nothing more.
Good coffee isn't bought in a supermarket, as you'll usually find oxidized, stale, burnt coffees, and older harvests... and there's no trick to improving these coffees.
But where do you buy coffee? The best option is at a specialty coffee shop, or online stores that offer specialty coffee. The good thing about this is that they can help you decide which one is best for you. And you can often buy it online or subscribe to a monthly plan so you don't have to leave home.
Once you've chosen a good coffee, wherever you've decided to buy it, they'll ask you if you want it whole bean or ground. If you're just starting out with coffee, there's no doubt about it—buy it pre-ground, but what we always recommend is investing in a grinder first. Yes, that's right, as it will be the most important tool for making good coffee.
It's important to keep in mind that not just any grinder will do, so if you don't have one yet, buy it pre-ground. This is because to make good coffee, the most important thing we need is for all the ground beans to be as evenly ground as possible. For this, we need a well-made grinder, which obviously increases its price.
To keep your coffee fresher for longer, we always recommend buying it whole bean.
Once we've got our coffee, let's move on to the question: Which coffee maker should I buy? We recommend a French press; even the cheapest one will do, they're super easy to use and very versatile. But remember, the most important thing will always be the coffee.
If you're looking for a more intense or full-bodied coffee, a moka pot or Italian coffee maker will give you great results.
No matter how many things you add to your coffee, if your base coffee is quality, everything you prepare will be delicious.
