Why did we create a Riding Academy? | Freedom Society
Oct 30, 2021
I was about 10 years old when my dad bought a pedal motorcycle on which he taught my brothers and me how to ride a motorcycle with a combustion engine. It is my first memory of a motorcycle and, in retrospect, the seed that has now become a great passion.
Several years have passed, and during this time I've been closely involved in the world of motorcycling, as a passenger, as a pilot, and as a family member and friend of motorcyclists.
While it's been an incredible experience, I've also witnessed some very unfortunate moments, not only in the world of motorcycling, but also in the road culture that exists in our society.
The pleasures of using public roads, whether as a pedestrian, cyclist, motorcyclist, or motorist, are undermined when at least one of the aforementioned individuals fails to respect the norms we have established as a society.
For the past few years I have been thinking about how to contribute to creating a valuable coexistence for everyone on public roads together as a society. In these attempts I created Un Segundo Salva Vidas , a road awareness campaign with the aim of training and raising awareness for respect for everyone on public roads.
Riding Academy
There it is! Now it seems to make perfect sense.
Freedom Society's Riding Academy is a new strategy to share our passion for motorcycling, but even more so for responsible motorcycling that helps clean up the image of motorcycling, which is often tarnished by motorcycle users with little knowledge of motorcycling and, above all, of public roads.
In this service we guarantee:
- Learning to ride a motorcycle from scratch, the easiest way.
- To learn the basic mechanics of your motorcycle, which will make you look like an expert and will undoubtedly get you out of trouble.
- Learn preventive driving, with the necessary techniques and practice.
- The theory needed to understand what a motorcycle is, their differences, and even to choose the best one for you, is also an investment at the end of the day.
- Know the rules and best practices to be a responsible motorcyclist on the public roads you travel on and also share that message with your circle.
What does our Riding Academy consist of?
- 10 hours of practice and theory, including driving in real traffic.
- Hydration for 10 hours.
- Basic equipment in case you need it.
- Motorcycle in case you need it.
What do you need to start your course?
- All the attitude and the best disposition
- Your motorcycle in good condition, if you have one.
- Basic equipment if you have it: helmet, gloves, boots.
- Payment for the investment. Payment can be made entirely online.
Remember that the motorcycle is to be treated with respect, not fear.
What do you think? It seems incredible, but in recent years, more and more friends are entering this exciting world, and even those you'd least expect have managed to learn to ride a motorcycle like a pro.
I'm Omar Romero and I invite you, if you have the desire or a little curiosity to enter this world, it doesn't matter if you are a man, a woman, or if you are 18 or 60 years old... this is the moment to take the first step, you won't regret it 😉
At Freedom Society we are driven by freedom.
